2,200 Acres. One Passion.
Spoiler Alert
Details of this year’s hunt results are below, but first things first. We are again open for European Style Driven Shooting with Western Sensibilities and Upland Bird walkup hunting.
European Style Driven Shooting with Western Sensibilities
We have open pegs for the following:
• November 10: 2 pegs available
• November 11: 4 pegs available
• November 18: 2 pegs available
One or more of these shoots might be driven only if the elk and weather have closed too many of our walkup areas.
European style shooting attire is encouraged but not mandatory.
Upland Bird Walkup Hunts
There are plenty of birds on the ranch and there will be more after the driven shoots. We are open for walkup shooting with a guide and well-trained dog any day except Sundays and Mondays and the driven shooting days for as long as the elk and weather allow. The elk probably will have destroyed our cover crops before the end of November.
We supply shotguns if needed, all ammunition, a guide with a well-trained dog for every two shooting, snacks during the day, and birds cleaned and vacuum packed for your departure for $890 per person shooting plus 6% Idaho sales tax. Minimum two.
Well-trained dogs are welcome. The memories are free.
Cast and Blast
One of our successful new offerings this season was Cast and Blast, one to two days clays shooting at Lazy Triple Creek Ranch followed by one to two days fishing the iconic fly fishing rivers all around us.
We are a sponsor of the Henry’s Fork Foundation dinner this month.

2023 Elk Hunt Results
Steve will be putting this 6×5 trophy on his wall and in the freezer. Lots of good eating ahead. Our elk are corn and second-growth-wheat fed.
Steve is joined in this photo by his son Dan. These are family memories that will last a lifetime. Beginning this year, successful hunters will name their shooting hide. Steve chose Redemption Ridge. I will let Steve tell you the story.
We love to see families hunting together. That makes families and our nation stronger.
The monster elk Brian harvested is shown at the top of the page. Brian and Steve are very long-time friends and business partners. Now they share an experience they will remember for the rest of their lives. That’s a very big bull but there are many more on our 2,200-acre ranch every year.
2024 Trophy Elk Hunts
If you would like to experience trophy elk hunting in luxury accommodations available in very few other places, let us know by November 15. We will work with the hunters who will be joining us in 2024 to obtain tags. Lazy Triple Creek Ranch is now a registered outfitter. Obtaining tags should not be a problem.
The 2024 bull elk season is from October 15 to 21. To make elk hunting sustainable for a very long time, we will be offering one-week hunts to allow us to reduce hunting pressure on the herds that make Lazy Triple Creek Ranch home in the fall.
The cost is $14,000 per person for a full week of elk hunting inclusive of recovery of elk from the field, staying in our luxury lodge, and all meals catered by our private chefs. Upland bird walkup hunts during elk hunting season are available for $890 per person per half day. Those not hunting elk are welcome for an additional cost. Unlike many hunting lodges, we have no trophy fees.
Let us know if you are interested in archery hunting in 2024. That season is open for all of September. This will be something new for us in 2024. Our Ranch Manager and guides are experienced archery hunters and know the ranch well.
2024 Reservations
We are taking bookings now for the 2024 season. We will honor 2023 pricing for 2024 bookings until the end of 2023.
We had four groups wanting to shoot in October calling in October. That doesn’t work, folks. Book early to get the dates you want and to help us better plan staff and bird supply.
That’s all folks.
Stay safe. Stay healthy. Stay shooting.
