An Upland Bird Hunter’s Paradise

The ranch is set up for high-end upland bird and European style driven shoots combining European traditions with Western sensibilities. Native sharp-tail and ruffed grouse inhabit the ranch. Pheasant and chukar season opens September 1 and extends to the end of each year. There are many drives on the ranch that can accommodate beginners as well as advanced shooters. Depending on the drive, birds can be presented to a line of eight guns from 20 to 50 yards high.

A portion of the arable land is dedicated to bird-holding cover crops of corn, sorghum, and sunflowers for walkup shooting behind trained dogs. The ranch also has a dog kennel with 15 runs if you wish to bring your own dog.

Maybe unique to Lazy Triple Creek, we are able to accommodate bird hunters who cannot handle all the walking involved in walkup hunting behind dogs.
