Wow, what an experience! A friend asked me to join him in a visit for September bird shooting. Had never heard of the place. Incredible time. Definitely will go back.

Awesome walk-up upland bird hunt at Lazy Triple Creek Ranch!
Having grown up hunting in Wyoming, Montana, and South Dakota, I can say this ranch is truly special. The lodge and grounds are in mint condition—clean, comfortable, and well-kept. We jumped a high volume of pheasant and chukars, with solid vegetation: corn and sorghum provided excellent cover. Worked directly with Steve and Matt, whose dogs were sharp and well-trained. Meals were top-notch—hearty, flavorful, and just what you want after a day in the field.
Big thanks to Hank for letting me come out-Lazy Triple Creek Ranch is a gem. Looking forward to next year!

Great experience, lodge staff Damian and Stacey took great care of us from the time we arrived until we departed, great food made us very comfortable and welcome.
Matthew our fishing guide put us on the fish, scenery was spectacular. Instruction and knowledge of the river were right on.
Ranch staff, Steve and Michael knew the ranch like the back of their hand. Great people. Michael was a great on our sporting clay adventure. The best sporting clay layout that I have experienced.
The lodge and ranch are top shelf.
Hank McKinnell is the most gracious host you could hope for. His passion for guest's experience very evident.
Five-star recommendation for sure.

Absolutely outstanding accommodations and shooting and hunting - five stars. I stayed three nights with my two sons. We fired long range rifle the afternoon we arrived, a day of sporting clays and five stand, and the third day a driven hunt.
Damian and Stacy on the house staff provided excellent meals during our entire stay, including steak and rib dinners and hearty breakfasts, lunches, and hors d’oeurves. They were incredibly helpful, and made sure we felt at home and had everything we needed.
Staying in the lodge with beautiful views was a wonderful family experience. Steve and Mike run a great clays course with amazing scenery. The driven hunt was action-packed and well-organized. The staff was great, it was well organized and filled with action yet relaxing at the same time. Great for families or any group. We will be back.

I just returned from Lazy Triple Creek Ranch in Idaho, and it was exceptional from start to finish. The ranch sits perched on a bluff with sweeping views of fields and mountains—first-class and serene in equal measure.
We spent a day fly fishing for trout on the Teton River, and our guide was outstanding—patient, dialed-in, and putting us on fish all day. The next day we shot the sporting clays course and did a simulated hunt with Steve, whose instruction was clear, safe, and confidence-building. Targets broke; egos survived.
Facilities were immaculate and thoughtfully designed, which made the whole experience feel effortless. Chef Susan delivered world-class meals every night—creative, delicious, and exactly what you want after a big day outside.
I went with several longtime friends scattered across the country, and this was the perfect place to reconnect. Plenty of adventure when you want it, and plenty of space to relax when you don’t.
If you want first-class service, expert guides, and a setting that makes you exhale, this is your spot.
Thank you LTC team for a great time and see you next year!

An unforgettable escape at Lazy Triple Creek Ranch.
Nestled in the stunning southeast Idaho countryside with the majestic Teton Mountains as its backdrop, Lazy Triple Creek Ranch is the kind of place that stays with you long after you leave. I spent three nights and four days here with five of my closest friends, and it was the perfect balance of outdoor adventure and serene connection with nature.
One of my favorite moments was floating the Teton River for a day of fly fishing. Drifting quietly between towering cottonwoods and snow-capped peaks, casting into crystal-clear waters, I felt completely immersed in the wild beauty of the region. It was the kind of peaceful, unhurried experience that makes time slow down interrupted by the thrill of trout attacking my fly!
But the true crown jewel of the trip was the ranch’s world-class sporting clay course. I’ve visited ranges across the country, and this one is without equal — impeccably maintained, thoughtfully laid out, and as challenging as it is fun. Whether you’re a seasoned shooter or just looking to try something new, it’s an absolute must.
Every detail of my stay reflected genuine hospitality and a deep respect for the land. If you’re seeking a place to unplug, recharge, and experience the best of the outdoors, Lazy Triple Creek Ranch is a rare gem you’ll want to return to again and again.
I already booked my next visit for 2026! I can't wait to get back with my group and add the thrill of bird hunting this round!

Cheers to the Triple Lazy Creek Ranch!
We had a fantastic shoot with first class hospitality. I thoroughly enjoyed my fellow shooters, the lodge, and the staff. Everything flowed perfectly and a big thumbs-up to Steve for his perfect coordination from start to finish so all enjoyed a great time.
The shoot exceeded my expectations.

Great to hear that. Exceeding expectations is our goal.
What a great Lodge and a great shoot!! I have shot birds in the US, Canada, Mexico and South America, and I can easily say this was one of the best lodges and best shooting experiences ever!! The food, the dogs, the staff are all incredible. If I only did one shoot per year, this would be the place!!!

See you next year.
I have hunted and fished in the British Isles. Lazy Triple Creek Ranch is better than anything else that is advertised in the U.S., and comparable to the British Isles for beauty and recreation.

High Praise, indeed.
Thank you, Roger. See you this summer.
We went here for our team leadership meeting. Such a great experience. Our guides were friendly and super knowledgeable. The scenery was out of this world. We held meetings in the lodge and enjoyed great cooking and had all the snacks and drinks we needed. Tons of rooms in the lodge. Great place to have a team retreat.

I've participated in many guided experiences in my life, but Lazy Triple Creek Ranch is one of the most memorable. My son, son-in-law, and his father spent the first three days of the Idaho elk hunting season with Hank and his son, Jaime. While my son Nate harvested an incredible bull, the family experience we shared was the most significant memory and fulfilled my primary goal for the trip. Hank and Jaime understood this and did their best to make it so, and I can't thank them enough. Lazy Triple Creek Ranch is a special place that you should take advantage of if you get the chance. We've already booked our next trip and are looking forward to it with great anticipation. Thanks to everyone at LTC who made this a special memory.

We had THE most amazing three days at your spectacular ranch. Steve and Heidi were the greatest hosts! The property is stunning, the birds flew extremely well, the dog handlers were world-class and the views are truly tough to beat! The food was totally off the charts – Graham is a very talented chef and we had three delicious meals! And Heidi and her crew made us some wonderful breakfasts and lunches. It was also great to meet Allan and Phil (both excellent shots too!). It was truly a bad two days to be a pheasant too!!
We have all shot at many places in the world but we all agreed this was one of THE best trips ever. I am already working on some possible dates to bring a Leash Club group back there for a cast and blast again in 2022.

Thank you for your kind words. It's good to hear from those who come to love this special place as much as we do. Steve trained in the UK to learn how to make driven shooting work in the American West. He was trained by the very best, Edward Watson, Director of the West London Shooting School and noted UK game estate manager and sportswriter, recently deceased, who also designed and led the construction of the shooting facilities and programs at Lazy Triple Creek Ranch.
Thanks for having us at your ranch, Hank. Lazy Triple Creek is a very special place. My son, nephews and I really enjoyed our time there. The hunting, accommodations, and food are all first class.
We had a great chance to get to know Steve and the crew. Having visited a number of Orvis and Beretta lodges, I have to say that the crew here is outstanding among the people I see in similar roles. When we had comments or requests, they listened and acted on them. The facilities are well-maintained and immaculate. Just a wonderful experience.

We had a fantastic experience at Lazy Triple Creek. The location is stunning - breathtaking scenery with a real ‘get away from it all’ feel. As a newcomer to shooting, I was unsure of what to expect, but I needn’t have worried - the patient instruction we received was excellent and enabled us to quickly understand the basics. There was also an admirable emphasis on safety.
The lodge itself is perfectly suited to relaxing, with handsome furnishings and warm and friendly staff. A truly memorable visit!

All days spent afield are special but some stand out. Lazy Triple Creek Ranch was one of those special places. My husband and I spent the morning successfully shooting various species of game birds and hunting my young British Labrador on the beautiful Idaho side of the Tetons.
Lazy Triple Creek Ranch is a lovely lodge and hunting facility of 2,200 beautiful acres. We were welcomed by Steve, our experienced guide, and his yellow lab Pete. Steve warmed us up on the sporting clay course then we headed to the fields for some fast flying walk up hunting. It was a delight watching both yellow labs work to flush some pheasant and partridge. We were able to harvest 7 pheasant and 4 partridge.
After a successful morning, we were treated to a delicious lunch overlooking the canyon and hunting fields on the property.
If you really want to have a memorable wing shooting experience, the Lazy Triple Creek Ranch is a exceptional choice.

Our stay could not have been any better. Everything is beautifully designed and superbly equipped. Hank and Steve were extremely accommodating and Alan with the dogs made the bird hunting spectacular. We had to think real hard to come up with something that was missing. The only improvement we could imagine would be a hot tub or a sauna. But the lack of those amenities did not detract from the ranch, its beauty, or the trip in any way. Thank you Lazy Triple Creek Ranch. It was well worth it.

Thank you, Brent. We love to see families hunting together. That makes families stronger and our nation stronger.
Lazy Triple Creek Ranch is a true jewel that we recently discovered and we will make a part of our hunting experience from now on. The landscape is breathtaking, the experience for us and our dog was first class. The lodge is exquisite and perfectly managed by Steve and Heidi who go out of their way to make guests feel like welcomed members of the family. We had a fantastic day full of pheasant, adventure, and great fun. Not to be missed!

We are pleased you enjoyed your day hunting upland birds with your dog. Seeing well trained hunting dogs enjoy the day can be as satisfying as the upland bird hunting.
An absolute world-class facility and 5-star experience! I had a wonderful time at the ranch. Your Sporting Clays course is unbelievable. The passion you have for shooting and attention to detail shows in every activity at the ranch.
This was my first pheasant hunting experience and I am hooked. The walkup hunts were very fun and the dogs did a great job.
The property is serene and the wildlife was fun to watch. Elk, moose, deer, pheasant, bald eagle... all before the first cup of coffee!
What more could one want? OK, I guess next time I want to shoot my rifle out to 1000+ yards. 😉
I am already looking forward to my next visit.

Lazy Triple Creek Ranch is world class in every way. Superb clays course, great walk-ups, a pistol and rifle range, delicious food, and a terrific staff - not to mention a beautiful lodge.
