2023 Trophy Elk Hunts
This year’s group of fathers with sons will be back next year so reflecting our preference for the private, exclusive nature of a very special place over commercial success, we are willing to take only one more group of one or two hunting the second half of the seven-day season, staying in the Creek House and joining the others in the Lodge for lunches and dinners.
Non-resident tags are limited to 15% of all tags by area. Tags are available to purchase on December 1 starting at 10 am. You need to be signed in and ready to purchase that morning if your number comes up. We had 50% success in obtaining tags last year. If you are successful in buying a tag, pay us a 50% deposit and we will confirm your booking for October 2023.
Cost is $10,500 per person hunting all inclusive. Upland bird walkup hunts are available for $850 per person per half day during the elk hunting week. Those not hunting elk are welcome to join those with tags. Rooms for those without a tag are $390 per room per night. Lunches and dinners will be catered. We prepare our own breakfasts. Everyone pitches in and we share our actual costs.
2022 Elk Hunt Results

Nate was successful on the second morning of the seven-day season. Uniquely this year, we have extensive video and photos of this great bull he harvested from our game cameras.
Caution: If you find photos of happy hunters and dead elk offensive in any way, please stop reading here.
Here’s the result: Trophy elk on the ground and a very happy hunting family.
Jamie found success on the next to last morning. Hank has a much smaller bull at the processor for 100% hunter success again this season.
Upland Bird Walkup Hunting

We supply shotguns if needed, all ammunition, a guide with a well-trained dog for every two shooting, snacks during the day, and birds cleaned, and vacuum packed for your departure for $695 per person shooting plus 6% Idaho sales tax. Minimum two.
We have openings for upland bird walk up hunts most days except Sundays and Mondays through the end of November. Well trained dogs are welcome. The memories are free.
2,200 Acres. One Passion.
Spoiler Alert: All tags filled again this season. That’s 11 out of 12 years for 91.5% success hunting trophy bull elk at Lazy Triple Creek Ranch. Hunters in our area, 64B, have been 15% successful in years past.
Details of this year’s hunt are below, but first we are back to upland bird walkup hunts until the end of November.
