2,200 Acres. One Passion.
That’s a wrap. Our 2023 season came to an end on November 18 with a group enjoying our signature event, European Style Driven Shooting with Western Sensibilities.
Our 2023 season started with more groups staying at the Lodge and shooting clays than ever before. Cast and Blast, days shooting plus days fishing, was successfully introduced. We were sold out for upland bird hunting except for a few days here and there. Our annual elk hunt was again sold out and successful.
Our goal of opening this special place to a limited number of guests while preserving the private, exclusive nature of what had been a private shooting club is being achieved. Our success is due to the remarkable people who want to come here and to our staff. Thank you to everyone who helped preserve the wonderful place that is Lazy Triple Creek Ranch.
2024 Bookings
We are taking bookings now for 2024.
Multiple dates are available during June, July, and August. These are the perfect months for corporate or family retreats focused on shooting and fly fishing the iconic rivers of Eastern Idaho.
A bit more than half the available dates for upland bird hunting are already booked by returning clients.
Trophy Elk Hunts are sold out again for 2024.
We plan to limit numbers again in 2024 despite record demand. We value the private exclusive nature of this special place over commercial success. We are not going to push the limits of the lodge, staff, or our natural resources.
For these reasons, we will not be opening bookings to new clients until January 1 to give our existing clients their choice of available dates.
Please book early. That gets you the dates you want, and you will save some money. We will honor 2023 prices for 2024 bookings made in 2023. Early bookings allow us to plan staff and bird supply better.
Lodge Stays
We keep the Lodge open year-round. Private chefs provide all meals, beer and wine included. The main Lodge has nine bedrooms. There are three more down the hill in the Creek House.
Five Stand in the Snow
We keep Five Stand open year-round. Access is by Polaris Ranger until the snow gets too deep, then we use our snowcat.
Cast and Blast
Together with the top fly-fishing outfitters in the area, we will be offering Cast and Blast again in 2024. One to three days of fly fishing on the iconic rivers of Eastern Idaho combined with one to three days of shooting, while staying in the Lodge. Let us know if you would like to fish and shoot in 2024.
Clays 2024
Our clays courses: trap, skeet, five stand, our world class 14-station sporting clays course, and more will be open to guests from June 1 to August 31, 2024.
Book now if you would like to come with a group, otherwise let us know one week ahead and we should be able to accommodate your request any days except Sundays and Mondays. Minimum four shooting.
Upland Bird Hunting 2024
We will change over from clays to upland bird walkup hunts with guides and dogs and European-style driven shooting with Western sensibilities at the end of August.
Book soon if you would like to come with a group or would like to overnight in the Lodge as part of your shooting experience.
We are booked by returning groups already from September 10 to 13, 19 to 22, and 27 to 29 with two additional groups trying to agree dates with their groups. October 9 to 23 are already booked. More dates are open in November. If you are willing to accept the risk of early, bad weather these can be marvelous shooting days as they were in 2023.
Book soon also if you would like to join our upland bird season opener: European style driven Shooting with Western Sensibilities on Saturday, August 31.
We are planning driven shooting days on August 31, September 14, October 5 and 26, and November 2 and 9 subject to availability.
Long Range Precision Rifle and Handgun Classes
No dates selected yet, but we will be offering long-range shooting (to a mile and more) and pistol classes again in 2024. Come with a group of four to eight and you get to pick the dates. World-class instructors will be available.
End of Season Shooting
Most operations like ours offer cleanup shoots at the end of the season to clients. We prefer to give that opportunity to those who made the season pole, our staff, dog handlers, and our course these guys:
That’s Emma and Pete, two of our hard-working upland bird-hunting dogs who really enjoyed the season. That’s also Steve, our Ranch Manager, who with his team makes this place the special place it is.
That’s all folks.
Stay safe. Stay healthy. Stay shooting.
