Trophy Elk Hunts
Let us know if you are interested in a trophy elk hunt of a lifetime in 2023. We are sold out for 2022. The ranch has been hunted only by Hank and Jamie for the past 12 years and not at all for ten years before that.
This guy’s still out there:
That’s all folks.
If you would like to shoot clays, hunt upland game or take rifle, shotgun, or pistol classes with us in Idaho this year, Book Now! Or contact Hank at (917) 821-7210 or hank@lazytriplecreek.com.
Stay healthy, stay safe, and stay shooting.

Lodge Stays
European Style Driven Shoots with Western Sensibilities
We are planning European Style Driven Shoots with Western Sensibilities every Saturday from September 3 to the end of November. Available pegs are filling rapidly. Here’s what’s still available:
September 3: 6 pegs available
September 17: 8 pegs available
Then sold out until October 22 when five pegs are available.
The shoot on September 3 will be sporting clays and driven bird hunting, no walkups, for $2,100 per person, not the usual $2,900. We are keeping prices unchanged this season in spite of 30% price increases across the board.
Bird hunting in late October and into November will depend on the weather here in Idaho and the game bird supply. If we fill the early shoots, we will be out of birds by the end of October. Book now and we will hold birds for your event. Shooting in the snow can be exciting. European shooting attire is encouraged but not mandatory.
Walkup Upland Bird Hunting
Upland bird walkup hunting begins on September 1. Pheasant, native sharp-tail or ruffed grouse, and chukar are available for hunting on our 2,200 acre ranch. We can provide hunting guides and dogs, or host your dog in our kennel on-site. Additionally, for bird hunters who can’t do all the walking involved, we offer rides in two Polaris Rangers and with forward shooting seats.
A few dates are filled, but we doubled our walkup areas this season so we have the capacity to accommodate most hunters. Please do book early.
Arrive at the Lodge by 9:30 am for a welcome, safety briefing, and shotgun fitting for those not using their own gun. Then off to the walkup fields with a guide and well-trained dog. We supply shotguns if needed, guide and dog, all ammunition and clays, snacks, lunch for four or more, cocktails and conversation on the deck at the end of the day, and birds cleaned and vacuum packed for your departure.
These guys are ready to hunt.
Book now if you want to hunt upland birds in the fall.
Sporting Clays Shooting until August 31
Only two Shotgun Saturdays remaining this season, August 6 and 13. Locals enjoy a significant discount on those days, $250 versus the usual $395 plus 6% Idaho sales tax per person shooting. Come shoot trap, skeet, five stand, crazy quail, grouse butt, and the best 14 station sporting clays course in Idaho or anywhere.
Here’s the over-the-hill gang beating the young bucks on the Sporting Clays Course yet again.
Precision Rifle and Handgun Classes
George Harris, our world-class pistol and rifle instructor will be at the ranch again during August. The precision rifle class is scheduled for August 19 and the defensive pistol class will be on August 20. We have room for eight in both. $890 for the day.
We supply guns and ammunition, (or use your own gun which is recommended for the pistol class), snacks during the day, lunch for groups of four or more, and cocktails and conservation on the deck at the end of the day. George’s guarantee is he will make you a better shooter or your money back. No one ever takes him up on his offer.
Shoot with Lynne Green
Join us Saturday, July 16, and shoot with Lynne Green, nationally recognized shotgun competitor, coach, and writer. Lynne is also the National Sales Manager for Fausti shotguns, a brand from Italy’s famous shotgun valley better known in Italy than in the US. Lynne will be at several stations on our sporting clays course during the day with a selection of Fausti shotguns for you to try. Like all true professionals, Lynne will be generous with her advice and coaching tips. $390 per person shooting plus 6% Idaho sales tax. We supply loaner shotguns if needed, clays and ammunition, snacks, and lunch on the deck at the end of the morning.
Just for Locals

Arrive at the Lodge by 9:30 for a welcome, safety briefing, and shotgun fitting if not using your own gun. Break for Elevenses, back in the Lodge for lunch by 1 pm.
The cost is $390 per person shooting, no change from last year in spite of 30 to 300% cost increases. We supply loaner shotguns if needed, a guide or instructor, clays and ammunition, snacks, and lunch for four or more.
Only two left: August 6 and 13
If you want to shoot with us at the $250 price per person price for locals instead of the usual $390, book now.
We have had a few shotgun, rifle, and pistol classes already this year and will have more when George Harris is here in August. More on that later.
Here is a proud father watching daughter ringing steel at 500 yards. Not only both first time shooters, but first time handling a firearm.
We love families shooting together. That makes families stronger and our nation stronger.
Spots Are Filling Up for Upland Game Hunting, Sporting Clays Runs until August 31, and New Dates for Pistol and Rifle Classes
Lazy Triple Creek Ranch is open for the season. If you want to come shoot with us this year, all I can say is book early. We had a relatively quiet June, but Shotgun Saturday on July 2 was sold out as will be July 9.
