Dedicated to Outdoor Pursuits: Fishing, Shooting, Hunting
Opening Day is June 8. We opened May 17 for a Getting to Know Your Rifle all-day course. 50 to 70 mile per hour winds reminded me why Ranch Manager Steve doesn’t want to open until early June every year.
Planting is done, Steve and Cory are getting the clays course ready and assure me everything will be ready to go on June 8. Come join us.
The Lodge expansion is still underway, but we will work around that for a few weeks.
With over 90% of the groups who shot with us last season already rebooked for 2024, openings to hunt upland birds with us while staying in our luxury lodge are limited.
We are sold out for groups who want to stay with us and hunt upland birds in September and October, but plenty of room on the calendar remains during June, July, and August for cast and blast, and days on our trap, skeet, grouse butt, crazy quail, five stand, and our best anywhere 14 station sporting clays course while staying in our luxury lodge.
More information is below.
Cast and Blast
We are taking bookings now for a day or two of clays shooting combined with a day or two of fly fishing the iconic rivers of Eastern Idaho, all while staying in our luxury lodge.
We have open dates in June, July, and August for shooting, but our fishing outfitters are selling out rapidly. If you would like to join us for a day or two clays shooting combined with a day or two of fishing the iconic rivers of Eastern Idaho, book now.
Clays, Clays, and More Clays
Our trap, skeet, grouse butt, five stand, crazy quail, simulated driven shooting with clays high overhead, and what many have called one of the best 14 station sporting clays courses in the world will all be open on June 8.
Come for a day or a few days with a group of friends or family. Minimum four.
The first and second Saturdays of July and August are again available to locals at a reduced price. Minimum 4. Saturday, July 13 is sold out.
We provide loaner shotguns for those not shooting their own guns, all clays, all ammunition, and lunch.
Fall European Style Driven Shooting
Upland bird hunting season at Lazy Triple Creek Ranch opens August 31 with our signature event, European Style Driven Shooting with Western Sensibilities.
Two drives at each of three locations with a break for Elevenses after the second drive, lunch, afternoon walkups with a guide and well-trained dog, ending with cocktails and conversation on the deck.
Days and pegs are filling up. Here’s what’s available:
• August 31: Two pegs
• September 7: Four pegs
• October 5: Eight pegs
• October 25: Four pegs
• October 26: Four pegs
If those dates don’t work for you and you have a group of six to eight, and you want to experience European Style Driven Shooting with Western Sensibilities in America, let us know and we will try to find dates that work for you.
We can accommodate those wanting to shoot for individual days but stays of three or four days are already booked except for the last week of August and the first and second weeks of November. Call 917-821-7210 to confirm.
Upland Bird Walkup Hunts
In addition to our driven shoots at a dozen locations, we are expanding the walkup areas on our high plateaus for walkup upland bird hunting with guides and well-trained dogs with either two or three guns in each field depending on the field.
We have days available here and there on the calendar for walkup hunts with a guide and well-trained dog.
Call 917-821-7210 or email hank@lazytriplecreek.com to book your hunt. Minimum two.
Getting to Know Your Defensive Pistol and Your Elk Rifle
We have room for up to four more for pistol and rifle classes on August 26 and 27, respectively. The participants in the May class we ran despite high winds evaluated the day as “amazing.”
The August 26 and 27 classes will be taught by George Harris. None better.
Stay safe, stay healthy, stay shooting.
