Dedicated to Outdoor Pursuits: Fishing, Shooting, Hunting
Two new developments are noteworthy.
We are expanding the Lodge and will delay our opening until that is completed.
We will have one more ensuite bedroom, a larger utility room, a larger mud room with storage for guns, and an ammunition bunker accessible from outside. Collecting guns and ammunition, changing clothing, and getting ready to depart the Lodge should be much easier in future. The plan is to reopen June 15, but we will keep you posted.
Over 90% of those who shot with us last season have already rebooked for 2024.
High praise indeed. Speaking of high praise, one of our regulars authored an article on the ranch which is appearing in Sun Valley. The article appears lower down. The author, Roger, says, “I have hunted and fished in the British Isles, LTCR is better than anything else advertised in the US as comparable to the British Isles for beauty and recreation.” Thank you, Roger.
2024 Bookings
With over 90% repeat business from last season, we are close to sold out in September and October. That’s good for clients who get the dates they want and good for us for planning bird supplies and staff, but unfortunate for those who want to hunt upland birds with us this year.
Email hank@lazytriplecreek.com and we will try our best to accommodate you and your guests.
There is plenty of room on the calendar for Cast and Blast and clays from June 15 to the end of August.
More information below.
Cast and Blast
We are taking bookings now for a day or two of clays shooting combined with a day or two of fly fishing the iconic rivers of Eastern Idaho, all while staying in our luxury lodge.
We have open dates in June, July, and August for shooting, but our fishing outfitters are selling out rapidly. If you would like to join us for a day or two clays shooting combined with a day or two of fishing the iconic rivers of Eastern Idaho, book now.
Clays, Clays, and More Clays
Our trap, skeet, grouse butt, five stand, crazy quail, simulated driven shooting with clays high overhead, and what many have called one of the best 14 station sporting clays courses in the world will all be open on June 15, construction permitting.
Come for a day or a few days with a group of friends or family. Minimum four.
The first and second Saturdays of July and August are again available to locals at a reduced price. Minimum 4.
We provide loaner shotguns for those not shooting their own guns, all clays, all ammunition, and lunch.
Fall European Style Driven Shooting
Upland bird hunting season at Lazy Triple Creek Ranch opens August 31 with our signature event, European Style Driven Shooting with Western Sensibilities.
Two drives at each of three locations with a break for Elevenses after the second drive, two more drives at a third location, lunch, afternoon walkups with a guide and well-trained dog, ending with cocktails and conversation on the deck.
Days and pegs are filling up. Here’s what’s available:
• August 31: Two pegs
• September 6: Four pegs
• October 5: Eight pegs
• October 26: Four pegs
• October 27: Four pegs
If those dates don’t work for you and you have a group of six to eight, and you want to experience European Style Driven Shooting with Western Sensibilities in America, let us know and we will try to find dates that work for you. We can accommodate those wanting to shoot for individual days, but stays of three or four days are mostly already booked.
Upland Bird Walkup Hunts
In addition to driven shoots, we have seven walkup areas on our high plateaus for walkup upland bird hunting with guides and well-trained dogs with either two or three guns in each field depending on the field.
We have days available here and there on the calendar for walkup hunts with a guide and well-trained dog. Minimum two.
Getting to Know Your Elk Rifle
We have a rifle class scheduled for May 17.
• Getting to know your rifle
• Fundamentals of marksmanship
• Ballistics to 500 yards
• Shoot to one mile if you can
• Terminal ballistics
• Shooting from improvised positions
We have room for two more. Come join us.
