To everyone who joined us this season, thank you for making 2026 a memorable year!
2026 was memorable for several reasons: Records were set, everything worked flawlessly in spite of our being sold out for most of the year, everyone enjoyed this special place without exceptions, and, for the first time ever, guided walk-up hunts are available through November due to mild fall weather.
This was not the “Old Bulls” first time at the ranch, but with 611 birds in the bag, this was the Old Bulls’ best shoot yet and a record for Lazy Triple Creek Ranch from a single day European-Style Driven Shoot with Western Sensibilities.
Also included in this photo are our best-in-the-business guides and dogs. We used to think great businesses were built by customers. Now, we know better. Great businesses are built by those with passion for what they do.
One walkup hunt: 63 birds. A new record for Lazy Triple Creek Ranch. Their ages? Sixteen and thirteen. With young men like these, the future of the sport we love is secure. This is the reason we love families shooting together. That makes families stronger and our nation stronger.
Guided Walk-Up Hunts are Available Now to November 10
By this time of year, every year but this one, our walk-up crops have been destroyed by migrating elk who call Lazy Triple Creek Ranch home in the fall. Very mild weather this year has kept the elk in the backcountry longer than usual and have left our walk-up fields relatively undamaged.
Walk-up hunts with guides and dogs are available for longer than usual this year. We have availability for up to eight each day through November 10. We provide guns, ammunition and lunch on our deck or in the Lodge.
2027 Bookings Are Open

If you are interested in our signature offering — European -Style Driven Shooting with Western Sensibilities — let us know. We sell out every season, and we expect 2027 to be no different.
We will confirm bookings by late November. Priority is given to groups who shot with us in 2026, groups of eight, and families who want to experience this tradition together.

Walk-Up Hunts
We will be accepting bookings by the end of November for groups of eight interested in walk-up hunts during September and October 2027. Groups interested in our signature event, European-Style Driven Shooting with Western Sensibilities have priority.

Fishing, Clays, and Cast and Blast
We are accepting bookings now for fishing from May 1 to August 10 and for clays and Cast and Blast, one or two days fishing the iconic rivers of eastern Idaho and one or two days of our world-class clays courses from June 1 to August 10 while staying in our luxury hunting and fishing lodge.

Bookings with a deposit received by the end of November will be confirmed at 2026 prices.
If you are not part of a group of eight and are interested in fishing, walk-up hunts, or driven shooting, let us know and we will add you to those with similar interests for groups of eight. Groups of eight enjoy exclusive use of the Lodge and our 2,200 acre ranch.
How We Are “Clearly Different”
For those who have not experienced what we offer, and are considering booking with us for 2027, this from an earlier issue of Ranch News generated very positive responses.
A large, national firm is running an ad campaign with the tag line of “A Clearly Different Money Management Firm.” Brilliant.
This got us thinking that while we share a passion for world-class fishing, shooting, hunting, and hospitality with other top lodges, we too are “clearly different.” Based on our own experience fishing and shooting elsewhere around the world, here are the differences we see.
We are small, exclusive, and private. Ideal for groups of eight, maximum 14.
Your group of eight will have exclusive use of the lodge, 2,200-acre ranch, and facilities.
No double occupancy rooms except for couples sharing queen or king beds. No extra charges for single rooms.
All bedrooms have ensuite baths.
Pricing 30% to 50% below comparable lodges. This may be surprising but reflects our philosophy that we too want the very best but also appreciate value for money.
No bird limits or charges for extra birds ever.
No extra charges for loaner shotguns, ammunition, or anything else other than sales and lodging taxes, and gratuities for the staff. Pricing is all-inclusive.
As with all things at Lazy Triple Creek Ranch, except firearms safety, exceptions will be considered. Just ask.
